Standing guard over the rocky shores of the Alexandrian coastline, the lighthouse of Alexandria was known as one of the wonders of the ancient world. Its towering figure could be seen across the conqueror's city until 956 AD after enduring centuries of earthquakes. The structure would be repurposed until it was finally demolished in 1480, and its stones and foundation were used to build a medieval fort.

This castle is was once the hunting castle of the kings of Denmark. Its grand-architecture towers above any nearby challenger and its verdant landscapes stretch on for miles. This work is important to me because it is the one I chose to be the castle drawing that I will give to my first child.

The third of a series of pen art depicting ruins. This was inspired by the stone watch towers in the Caucasus mountains. I tried multiple compositions that looked at the tower from the outside but found that perspective from the interior was far more dramatic.

This series was the first I created after coming out of college. Taken from moments along a trail that runs east of Asheville, North Carolina. The first is at the trail head, where natural stone steps lead up a hillside into the fog. The second is from the side of the trail. A tree spilt over time but is still clinging to life. And finally, atop the trail, is a single tree that could look out over the valley if the fog had not rested on top of the mountain.
